Book industry’s digital leader adds iconic eBook catalog including such works as Brave New World, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, and I Am Legend
New York, NY (January 13, 2026) – Open Road Integrated Media, the book industry’s leader in applying technology to book discovery, today announced the acquisition of RB Content LLC (aka RosettaBooks), a pioneer in digital publishing and home to a catalog of more than 700 iconic eBooks, including Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William L. Shirer, and I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. Open Road acquired RosettaBooks from the private equity firm MEP Capital, which is also a minority investor in Open Road.
The transaction brings together two of the industry’s pioneering digital publishers and singular eBook catalogs. Open Road, founded in 2009, has a catalog that includes works by William Styron, Alice Walker, Graham Greene, Dee Brown, Walter Lord, James Herriot, and Pearl Buck. Rosetta, founded in 2001, has a roster of writers that includes Walter Tevis, Terry Goodkind, Nancy Friday, Robertson Davies, Arthur C. Clarke, M.C. Beaton, Martin Gilbert, Barbara Taylor Bradford, and Winston Churchill, as well as books that are the basis of classic films Spellbound, The Manchurian Candidate, Dr. Strangelove, Field of Dreams, and The Graduate.
“We are deeply gratified to be bringing Rosetta’s iconic collection of titles to Open Road’s catalog,” said David Steinberger, Open Road’s CEO. “This is a list of truly astonishing quality.”
“We’re pleased to have taken Rosetta to this point and to see it with the right long-term owner in Open Road,” said Andrew Kotliar, partner at MEP Capital.
RosettaBooks’s operations will continue uninterrupted. Arthur Klebanoff, Rosetta’s Founding Publisher, will continue in his current role, as consultant, advisor, and the point of contact for Rosetta authors and agents. He will be collaborating with Open Road SVP and Publisher Christine Gillespie.
“I look forward to continuing as the steward of Rosetta’s titles,” said Arthur Klebanoff. “Thank you to MEP for their outstanding support, and to Open Road, which is truly the ideal home for our authors and their works.”
“As long-time admirers of the Rosetta list, we are thrilled to be welcoming RosettaBooks to the Open Road publishing family,” said Christine Gillespie. “I look forward to working more closely with Arthur to grow sales and build on the great legacy of these books through our innovative marketing platform.”
In addition to being an eBook publisher, Open Road is the industry’s leading digital marketing services provider, enabling title discovery for client publishers. RosettaBooks has been an Open Road client for more than seven years, and this marketing support is continuing uninterrupted after the transaction.
In 2023, Open Road launched the Re-Discovery Lit initiative, achieving growth by republishing books that had gone out of print or had been reverted to their authors. The RosettaBooks transaction represents another growth path for Open Road’s publishing program, by adding a roster of well established authors and titles with strong ongoing sales.
