Enhanced Version of Muhammad Ali: His Life and Times Will Feature Rare Video Footage, Audio Clips and Photos

(January 17th, 2011) Open Road Integrated Media, a digital publisher and multimedia content company, announced today on Muhammad Ali’s birthday, that it will publish an enhanced ebook of Thomas Hauser’s definitive biography Muhammad Ali: His Life and Times. The enhanced ebook will feature rare video footage, audio clips and photos authorized by Muhammad Ali Enterprises. The traditional ebook will be available at all etailers on February 14th, the same date that the enhanced editions will be on Apple, Barnes and Noble and Amazon AV.

The enhanced editions available on Apple’s iBookstore, Barnes and Noble Nook and Kindle AV platforms will include:

  • Five video clips depicting a variety of moments from Ali’s career, including a victory speech at a post-fight press conference and the iconic announcement of his name change and conversion to the press in 1964.
  • Eleven audio clips featuring Ali reciting some of his most famous poetry, including his “float like a butterfly and sting like a bee” comment
  • Twenty photographs including fight images as well as intimate, behind-the-scenes moments with Ali out of the ring.

In addition to the enhanced content, Open Road will produce original marketing videos featuring interviews with Thomas Hauser, George Foreman and Hana Ali, Muhammad Ali’s daughter.

This brilliant book, told in Ali’s own words and those of hundreds of family members, friends, rivals, and others who interacted with “The Greatest” over the decades, reveals a deeply spiritual, complex man, who gave new meaning to “courage” and changed forever what we expect a champion to be.
