Digital Publisher Sponsors Girls Write Now’s Celebrated CHAPTERS Series; Fridays This Spring
New York, NY (Mar 7) – Open Road Integrated Media, a digital publisher and multimedia content company, today announced its partnership with Girls Write Now (GWN), New York City’s premier creative writing and mentoring organization for at-risk and underserved high-school girls. As part of this partnership, Open Road will sponsor CHAPTERS 2012, a public reading series showcasing a fresh season of talent at GWN with keynote speeches from women who inspire the teens, including two Open Road authors: the bestselling co-author of The Daring Book for Girls, Andrea J. Buchanan, whose upcoming novel Gift will be published this month; and Alix Kates Shulman, whose library of eight titles, including Memoirs of an Ex–Prom Queen and her new collection The Marriage Agreement and Other Essays, will be published as ebooks in May, on the cusp of her eightieth birthday.

Open to the public, each event will take place at the historic John Street Church in lower Manhattan, 44 John Street, from 6–8 p.m. Admission is free for teens, with a suggested donation of $20 for adults. After-party at The Libertine, 15 Gold Street, 8–10 p.m.
CHAPTERS is supported, in part, by public funds from the National Endowment for the Arts; the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency; and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council. CHAPTERS is also produced in partnership with Figment.com.

Open Road will also collaborate with Girls Write Now to:
- Promote GWN’s meaningful mission and annual events
- Develop resources and content for the GWN community
- Film CHAPTERS readings and produce short, documentary-quality videos
- Support students through a Young Reviewers Program, which will connect them with opportunities for recognition and complimentary new fiction and nonfiction for reading and reviewing
