Pearl S. BuckThirteen novels by Pearl S. Buck will be released in e-book form for the first time, her publisher said on Monday, the latest works by an acclaimed author to be published digitally after being available only in print.
The novels will be released by Open Road Integrated Media and include “The Good Earth,” “The Big Wave,” “The Promise” and “A House Divided.” “The Good Earth” won a Pulitzer Prize in 1932.
Buck, who also won the Nobel Prize in Literature, died in 1973.
“Pearl Buck opened an entire generation of U.S. readers to the richness of China, her people and the bonds that tie our two cultures together,” Jeffrey Sharp of Open Road said in a statement. “There is no singular author who speaks more to the power of cross cultural storytelling than Pearl Buck.”
