Open Road Names Julie Blattberg Executive Director, Consumer Engagement

Blattberg Brings More than 15 Years of Content Experience to Open Road

(New York, NY—September 12, 2013) Open Road Integrated Media, (www.openroadmedia.com), a digital publisher and multimedia content company, announced today that Julie Blattberg has been named to the newly created position of Executive Director, Consumer Engagement. Blattberg, most recently Director of Marketing Content for HarperCollins Publishers, has more than 15 years of experience in both marketing and editorial content creation. She will oversee newsletters, ORIM social media, conferences, and marketing content syndication and partnerships. She starts on October 1 and will report to Rachel Chou.

Blattberg brings a wide range of experience to Open Road. She was most recently Director of Marketing Content for HarperCollins, where she developed engaging content for social media, email newsletters, and other communication channels; strategic opportunities to promote books and authors; best practices for marketing metadata; and digital products that capitalize on author- and consumer-generated content.

She was previously Director of Managing Editorial for Disney Publishing Worldwide. Prior to Disney, she served in a variety of managing editorial and marketing posts at HarperCollins, including Managing Editor in the children’s division, and at HarperPaperbacks, a former mass market imprint, she was a Marketing Manager and an Associate Managing Editor. She also served as Managing Editor of Paperbacks for Pocket Books at Simon & Schuster.
